Abstract
This study was try to explore the issue that female teachers how to handle their time well and what strategies were used in their time management. All female teachers worked in 59 Taipei Municipal Junior High Schools were considered to be participants in this study. Initially, approximately 700 questionnaires were distributed to those respondents and, finally, the researcher received 630 completed surveys. After deleting invalid questionnaires, 595 samples were used to do the final analysis. Regarding statistical tools, the descriptive statistics, t-test, and one way ANOVA also were employed appropriately in this study. The findings indicated that female teachers handled and managed their time in workplace varied by individual roles. Specifically, those who “tend to accomplish task by her along rather than delegation” and “be overwhelmed with all the daily routine and cannot prioritize” were less likely to control their time well, suggesting they had more difficulties to control their time well. In regard of strategies of time management, “dynamic teaching activities” was the best performance to make female teachers handle their teaching time well. However, different personal backgrounds also had great impact on making decision of time-management strategies. Accordingly, some unique suggestions should be addressed as follows: 1. Consideration of time and health, female teachers should learn how to delegation and cooperation instead of doing anything by their own. 2. Taipei Education Bureau should hold a workshop or seminar for female teachers in which they can share their experiences and get some more knowledge and strategies to handle their time well.
