導入專業英語文詞彙學習以提升高中學生英語文學習動機與成效-以技術型高中電機科為例

Abstract

本研究主要導入專業英語文詞彙學習以提升學生英語文學習動機與成效之影響。其研究採用準實驗研究,以基隆市某技術型高中電機科一年級學生共94人為研究對象,其中48人為實驗組,46人為控制組,進行為期8周的教學實驗。針對母群體中實驗組與控制組,均於教學實驗前、後實施專業英語文詞彙能力國際能力認證測驗、ARCS學習動機量表及英語文學習成效測驗,研究者利用SPSS統計軟體進行前後測比較後而進行分析,根據研究結果所得,結論如下: (一)在專業英語文詞彙能力國際認證成績部分:實驗組與控制組在專業英語文詞彙能力國際認證的學習上有顯著差異,因實驗組相較於控制組在經過反覆學習達到精熟,使實驗組其在專業英語文詞彙上學習上有顯著差異。 (二)ARCS學習動機量表部分:透過ARCS學習動機量表,對於實驗組學生在整體動機、不同向度動機具顯著之提升,也透過專業英語文詞彙能力系統PVQC之學習,而助於實驗組學生的英語文學習成效之提升。 (三)英語文學習成效測驗部分:實驗組與控制組在英語文學習之前、後測,其學習成效有顯著差異,實驗組在透過專業英語文詞彙能力測評系統之學習,對於英語文學習成效較前測上有提升。
This study mainly aims to enhance senior high school students' English learning motivation and effectiveness by learning professional English vocabulary. This study used quasi-experimental studies. Subjects were 94 first-year students of the department of electrical engineering of a technical high school in Keelung City. Among the subjects, 48 were experimental groups and 46 were control groups. Teaching experiment is conducted for 8 weeks. Both of the experimental group and the control group did the Professional Vocabulary Quotient Credential(PVQC) test, the ARCS learning motivation scale and the English Language Learning Effectiveness Test before and after the teaching experiment. The researcher used SPSS statistical software to compare the pre-test and the post-test and analyze data. According to the research results, the conclusions are as follows: 1. In the PVQC test: There were significant differences in PVQC learning between the experimental group and the control group. Compared to the control group, the experimental group was refined after repeated learning. Thus, there were significant differences in the experimental group in PVQC learning. 2. In the ARCS learning motivation scale: Through the ARCS Learning Motivation Scale, students in the experimental group showed significant improvement in overall motivation and motivation for different orientations. At the same time, through the learning of the PVQC system, it will help the students of the experimental group enhance their English language learning. 3. In the English Language Learning Effectiveness Test: In the pre-test and post-test of the English language learning study, there was a significant difference in the learning effectiveness between the experimental group and the control group. Through the learning of the PVQC system, compared with the pre-test, the experimental group's English language learning had improved.
