我們利用電場調制光譜實驗研究並五苯(pentacene)薄膜結構系統,探討影響電光性質的機制。反射光譜經由電場調制之後,所獲得的調制譜圖有微分結構。藉由吸收譜圖和電場調制光譜的比較,我們可以得到並五苯的四個躍遷能量:1.85eV、1.97eV、2.12eV、2.28eV。藉由史達克效應(Stark effect)理論,我們可以建立微分結構模型來分析譜圖,微分結構模型所擬合的譜形和實驗譜形兩者形狀一樣。在電場調制光譜實驗中,我們分別改變調制電壓和直流偏壓,實驗結果符合史達克效應理論的預測,這表示並五苯樣品在外加電場的情況下,發生史達克效應,是史達克效應主導電場調制光譜的譜形結構。改變並五苯所處的環境溫度,將溫度從25K開始逐漸升高溫度時,調制光譜的光譜強度會隨著溫度升高而逐漸增加。當溫度逐漸接近250K時達到最大值,繼續增加溫度到300K,光譜強度反而變弱。
